Environmental Health Monitoring is a nationwide comprehensive system of collection and evaluation of data on environmental pollution and on resulting health outcomes as well. A population exposure has been estimated and consequent health effects and risks have been assessed. The system provides a basic information for decision making in public health protection and health risk management. Also for a lay public it represents a source of knowledge on health risks from the environment.
The results of the Environmental Health Monitoring are provided in the Summary report, which is set out annually.
