Community noise monitoring

Monitoring comprises 24-hour noise measuring at specific sites under monitoring in which periodic questionnaire surveys have been conducted. Noise measuring was carried out from 1994 till 2006 on an annual basis in 19 cities in each of which two localities with different noise intensities were selected. Since 2007 the measuring is being conducted at 2- to 3-year intervals in 12 cities, i.e. at 24 localities in all.
